Production process:
I've written Haiku since grade school and that carries into my beats. My take on environmental themes leans into transcendent sci-fi. The importance of cycles and ☯️ inspire ambiguous energy/alignment/moods. File under vapor twitch, casio shamanic, deadpan braindance, or soundtrack.
Effortless effort (無爲) and years of min-maxing gacha games guides my workflow. Korg Gadget on iPad is my jam after years of tracking in LSDj/LGPT. Once I've got 8+ bars looping with fun solos/mutes I'll structure the composition. I'm usually on the go and with whatever headphones or even the built-in speakers. Once I've got some quiet I'll do a deliberate mix session and listen on a few sets of equipment I'm familiar with. Most the time I need at least two rounds of balancing levels. This self-review cycle can also get me back into structure or tracking. Either way this stage always eats up the most time. When I listen through and there's nothing left to tweak I know it's ready to ship. Enjoy!
